Windows 2003 comes with a really secure but also really annoying feature called Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration.
If you run it just as a server and don't plan to develop or do other workstation kind-a-stuff on the machine then stop reading skip this article is not for you.
So you do want to use it as a workstation, well fine then here is how to get rid of it:
- On the Start menu, point to Settings and click Control Panel.

Double-click Add or Remove Programs.

Click Add/Remove Windows Components.

In the Windows Components Wizard, de-select Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration and then click Next.
